Guided Ride

We highly recommend this guided ride for both experienced and rookie riders alike. Riding the famous three Twisted Sisters is extremely popular with motorcycle enthusiasts.  Riders come from all over the US to check this off their bucket list.  This is, certainly, due to its breathtaking scenery, extreme winding roads, and challenging terrain.

Riding the sisters is undeniably a major attraction for guests of Thunder in the Hill Country and Rumble on the River rallies.  The Twisted Sisters are considered the most challenging motorcycle roads in the state.  Biker Rallies of Texas strives to provide all registered rally guests with an opportunity to ride them safely, and it’s all included with your rally registration.

For Rumble on the River 2025 we will offer TWO guided rides! Riders will have the opportunity to enjoy the sisters from BOTH directions!

Ed Evans, better known as “Captain Mapache,” is our offical Road Captain for Biker Rallies of Texas Twisted Sisters guided ride. Captain Mapache is known for his guided rides, charity work, and promotion of motorcycle safety awareness.

A pre-ride safety meeting is crucial for ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience. These meetings cover group riding techniques, safety protocols, and any specific route-related hazards.

CMA will perform a blessing of the bikes to to ask for guidance and protection for riders and their bikes during the ride.

The Twisted Sisters is a 100-mile loop on Texas Hill Country Ranch Roads 335, 336, and 337.  The route will take you through several small Texas towns including Medina, Vanderpool, Leakey, and Camp Wood.

The route follows canyons and climbs jagged, steep hills. The roads offer many tight, twisty curves with sheer drop-offs and not much in the way of guardrails.

In one 15-mile section, there are approximately 65 curves; rather exciting for sure!

Obviously, you’re going ot get hungry. So, we have a planned stop at the famous Bent Rim Grill and Frio Canyon Motorcycle Shop in Leakey, Texas. Grab one of the best burgers in the Hill Country, take in some amazing views from their patio, and grab some Twisted Sisters merch!
