Western Trail Heritage Park

Western Trail Heritage Park in Bandera, Texas, is a small, one-block, free-to-enter town center park dedicated to the area’s history as the “Cowboy Capital of the World”. Located on Main Street, it features historical markers, a horse statue, a painted western mural, and a map of the Great Western Cattle Trail etched into the sidewalk.

Bandera County Courthouse

The Bandera County Courthouse, located in Bandera, Texas, is a historic three-story, Spanish Renaissance Revival-style building constructed between 1890 and 1891. Designed by B.F. Trester, Jr., this landmark features locally quarried white limestone, a central clock tower, and remains a functional center for county government in the “Cowboy Capital of the World”.

Frontier Times Museum

The Frontier Times Museum in Bandera, Texas, is a historic, eclectic museum founded in 1933 by J. Marvin Hunter to preserve Texas frontier, cowboy, and pioneer heritage. It houses over 30,000 items, including Native American artifacts, and unique oddities, often described as a charming, old-fashioned, “cabinet of curiosities”.

Bandera City Park – Texas Hill Country Attraction

Bandera City Park is a 77-acre public park located along the Medina River in downtown Bandera, Texas, often called the “Cowboy Capital of the World”. It offers a tranquil, scenic escape featuring cypress trees, swimming areas, fishing, picnic spots, BBQ pits, and a skate park. The park is a popular, family-friendly day-use destination.

Bandera Natural History & Art Museum
267 Old San Antonio Rd, Bandera, TX (3.1 miles from the rally grounds)
The Bandera Natural History and Art Museum, located in the Texas Hill Country, is a 8-acre attraction combining prehistoric, natural, and colonial-era art exhibits. It features life-size outdoor dinosaur/Ice Age models, indoor wildlife dioramas, and the New Spain Art Hall (1521–1820).

The Coming King Sculpture Prayer Garden
520 Benson Dr, Kerrville, TX (29.2 miles from the rally grounds)
The Coming King Sculpture Prayer Garden in Kerrville, Texas, is a 24.5-acre, free public art park featuring “The Empty Cross,” a massive 77-foot-7-inch tall, open- steel sculpture. Opened in 2015, it serves as a non-denominational spiritual sanctuary for prayer and reflection, located on a hilltop overlooking I-10.

Stonehenge II

Stonehenge II in Ingram, Texas, is a popular, free public art installation. It is a 90% scale replica of the original Stonehenge in England. Created over 20 years ago by Al Shepperd and Doug Hill. It is located on the Hill Country Arts Foundation campus. It features plaster, steel, and wire mesh structures along with 13-foot-tall Easter Island head replicas.

Luckenbach, Texas – A Favorite of the Texas Hill Country Attractions!
412 Luckenbach Town Loop, Fredericksburg, TX (58 miles from the rally grounds)
Luckenbach, Texas, is one of the biker communities favorite of all the Texas Hill Country attractions. A tiny, unincorporated community in the Texas Hill Country near Fredericksburg. Famous as a rustic, legendary music venue with a population often cited as three. Founded in the 1840s by German settlers. It is best known for its historic dance hall, general store, and the 1977 hit song by Waylon Jennings, embodying a “back to basics” lifestyle.

- Lost Maples State Natural Area (Vanderpool): Known for steep limestone canyons and Uvalde bigtooth maples.

- Government Canyon State Natural Area (San Antonio): Features rugged hiking and dinosaur tracks (open Friday–Monday).

The Alamo

This one is not recommended during the rally, but if you are planning on extending your vacation beyond the rally and looking for more to do nearby… Consider a visit to The Alamo in San Antonio, Texas. It is a 300-year-old former Spanish mission turned fortress. It is best known as the site of the 1836 Battle of the Alamo during the Texas Revolution. Today, it is a UNESCO World Heritage site and museum in downtown San Antonio. Visitors are attracted to its historic church, barracks, and gardens.
It’s also located right on the San Antonio Riverwalk with tons of shopping, restaurants, and nightlife.
